By offering VR headsets to passengers for entertainment and to those passengers who are claustrophobic, commercial airlines are boosting the quality of their services. According to a survey, about 85% of aviation accidents happen due to errors made by pilots.

This is where augmented reality development becomes a necessary innovation and solution to bring safety to the aviation operations. AR navigations allow pilots to take decisions while focusing on a glass screen in front of them, thereby reducing the risk of distractions. Pilots can also have a 360-degree view of statistics and virtual images that make air traffic clearly visible to them. Aircraft assembly and maintenance is another task made efficiently possible with Augmented reality through gesture-controlled apps and 3-D scanning.
